She, had her hair done, every week,

neat.

Whether she was going out,

or not.

Ran; toned in the gym,

for him.

Exercised herself silly,

really.

Created gastronomic delights,

garnished

with adoration, love, and

truth.

Dressed as he thought,

she ought.

Sought his desires, put out

His Fires.

Looked and played the part,

for his heart.

Dreamed of sharing a piece of it.

One day.

Smiled when it was tough

nearly enough,

waited patiently for maturity,

a pity.

He, sauntered into the bedroom,

one day,

filled a suitcase, packed her heart.

'Goodbye',

he said. 'Can't stay', he said,

I'm leaving you.

Today.'
