Inside
a Lady's Handbag

A
powder bag and two broken lipsticks
and a purse with a rusty
zip,
that opens just about.
A diary full of secrets
that were important once,
but are now forgotten.
A
black and white photograph
of the man she used to
love,
before he broke her
heart.
And the keys to the house
they shared,
that is empty now she
jumped.
