Mini Writing Course

What clients are saying about our Mini Writing Course:

Just a quick note to say that I got back to find a letter from The Lady accepting my story for publication. I had expected to wait weeks for a reply, and had also prepared myself for a rejection, so to say that I was/am absolutely thrilled is an understatement! I wouldn't have been able to do it without your help, Jenny, so it goes without saying that you have my undying gratitude...
(VM - East Sussex)

Thank you for your patience and expertise during this Mini Course. I have really tried to take your criticism constructively and feel that I have learned so much. (AH - Sussex)

I am impressed by the speed of your response and your service. (GC - Oxford)

Become accomplished in the art of short story writing - quickly and with minimal effort. After four simple lessons you'll be ready to submit stories for the popular magazine market, or for entry into the more prestigious competitions. Earn money from your writing - we can show you how. Let us take you step by step, from the creation of your idea, right through to the perfect presentation of your manuscript. Here's how it works:

Send us a short story of up to 2,500 words, by e-mail attachment. Within ten days, you will receive a detailed critique, together with a suggested theme for your second piece of work. When this has been read and critiqued, you will then have the opportunity to have two further stories professionally assessed (i.e. four stories in all), culminating in a final overall report on your progress, plus guidelines on how to present your manuscripts for submission to editors. During your course, you will learn about characterisation, plotting, dialogue and structure in simple, everyday terms. In short, you will get an insider's view on how to succeed.

And it doesn't stop there. From the start, you'll have an experienced editor and well-published short story writer (She Magazine, Woman's Weekly, Woman's Realm and many, many more) helping you on a one-to-one basis, teaching you the tips and tricks of writing for the lucrative popular market. And when your Mini Course is over, we will still be here for you to consult, any time you need help and advice throughout your continuing writing career.

The cost of this Mini Course is only £55 Click here to pay by credit card.

Alternatively, send a cheque (made payable to Doug Watts, please) to this address. The receipt of your payment will be acknowledged promptly by e-mail. There is no need to wait for your cheque to arrive, simply email your short story as soon as you are ready to do so and we can make a head start on assessing it.
